The Food

Erdäpfelsalat (Potato Salad)

This thing gives real meaning to the words potato salad.  It was super flavorful and the texture was wonderful.  And now, I will never again be able to be satisfied with American potato salad.

Weinerschnitzel

Golden, flaky, tender, flavorful! Similar of course to veal Milanese, but the level up here for me was the lemon.  Asked for more and more lemon wedges and just drenched that thing, every bite was gorgeous!

Demel Figaro

I asked what this was because it was everywhere in the store and the saleswoman said it was her favorite and said it was nougat.  I thought, meh no thanks.  But I got one anyway expecting it to be just fine.  It totally blew me away, mousse and hazelnut and chocolate in an adorable tiny package.

Melange

If you thought Viennese coffee was the thing to get in Vienna you are mistaken.  It is the melange! It is similar to cappuccino except it is made with milder coffee and steamed cream instead of milk.  Creamy perfection.
