Fun Facts

  • New Plymouth was extremely special to me as I met for the first time ever in person, my therapist of 8 years.  It was incredibly moving and special to go to her lovely beachside town.  A bonus sweet surprise as I never would have gone there otherwise and it ended up being one of my favorite stops of my trip.

  • New Plymouth features Mount Taranaki, famous for how perfectly cylidrical it is, standing in for Mt Fuji (to which it is commonly likened) in the movie the Last Samurai

  • The beautiful Pukekura Park hosts the Festival of Lights every summer, which draws over 10,000 people annually.  I went and it did not disappoint!

Ms White Pizza

Everything I heard told me to try and it was close to my hotel but I was having a crisis of conscience because I have a strict policy against eating pizza out of the NY area.  I went anyway and LOVED!
