The Favorites

Kangaroos were the gentlest sweetest creatures-which I was hopeful they would be when they grabbed by hand with those long talons! They felt like something between a rabbit and a deer.

Atlassian
I'm a big fan/nerd of Atlassian and it was super cool to visit their headquarters in Sydney! I explained that I was a big fan and looking for a tour or the gift shop and everyone looked really perplexed!

Bananas
Australia is obsessed with bananas and I am here for it! Drinks, ice cream, hand lotion, hair conditioner, bring it on!

Chinese Culture
Sydney surprised me with the amount of Chinese culture there! It was almost Chinese New Year and there were red and golden snakes everywhere, a zodiac maze in the airport where you could take selfies with your animal, and the airport lounge had congee!
My Favorite Spots

Great drinks, fun bartenders (above) and a menu that is also a monopoly board!

Rotating Bar, where everyone gets a view of the opera house! Great drinks and pavlovas!
Walking through the botanical garden and to Mrs Macquarie’s chair, hearing the bugs chirping so loudly wondering if I’m actually deep in the Amazon jungle
Feeling the kangaroo grip my hands with its claws urgently grabbing snacks and petting its soft brown fur
