The Favorites

Fairy Bread
This a kids treat that I tried first as a gelato flavor and was smitten. It is white bread with butter and sprinkles on top they serve at kids parties, what's not to love?!

Waiheke Island
Teal blue waters, vineyards and no traffic lights...
Calling for room service and asking for coffee, the other end of the line asks several times "what" and I was thinking "how else do I say it". So I try "ya know the brown stuff you drink at cafes" they say "oh do you want a sandwich?". I say "no ya know like a cappuccino" and then we got it!
Walking up the steps lined with bricks etched with Auckland on them, two out of 6 wine tastings in hand, the smell of olive trees and lavender wafting up while the breeze ushers in intermingled clouds and warm sun.
Walking around Auckland on Christmas Eve and I hear "ho ho ho Merry Christmas" and I look to see a man shouting through a construction cone to his son.
