Fun Facts

• David was originally meant to be on top of the Duomo, that's why he's so large.  He is 17 feet tall, and his hands and feet are larger proportionally so that you would be able to see him atop the building from the street.

• The Ponte Vecchio bridge contained a secret passageway used by the Medici family, and was the only bridge not destroyed by the Germans in World War II​
