The Favorites
Calling for room service and asking for coffee, the other end of the line asks several times "what" and I was thinking "how else do I say it". So I try "ya know the brown stuff you drink at cafes" they say "oh do you want a sandwich?". I say "no ya know like a cappuccino" and then we got it!
Waling up the steps lined with bricks etched with Auckland on them, two out of 6 wine tastings in hand, the smell of olive trees and lavender wafting up while the breeze brings clouds and warm sun intermingled.
Walking around Auckland on Christmas Eve and I hear "ho ho ho Merry Christmas" and I look to see a man shouting through a construction cone to his son.
